Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Bible-believing, faith-based ‘family’ dedicated to worshiping the one true God, and helping others both locally and throughout the world. We have a strong commitment to God’s Word, and its directive to ‘make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded.’
We offer many opportunities to individuals and families, starting with our Sunday morning worship hour. Various Bible Studies and other educational opportunities can be found throughout the week, as well as chances to volunteer. We are also a strong supporter of Christ Lutheran School here in Sterling.
Messiah has a strong missional background and continues to sponsor both local and world-wide missions. Locally we assist Hope Life Center, the CLS Thrift Store and local food pantries. We also help fund Ivan Rasch and his family, who are missionaries in Western Africa.
We hope and pray that everyone touched by one of our ministries will find themselves blessed both in this life, and in the life to come. If we can help you in any way, please give us a call.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
