PASTOR LUSSKY GOES TO HOPKINS

September 23, 1883 the congregation granted him a peaceful dismissal in order that he might serve the rural congregation exclusively. Apparently the twin parish in Hopkins Township was the stronger of the two at that time. He continued to serve our parish as vacancy pastor until the next man came in December. At that time the congregation numbered only 37 communicants, though 35 children were enrolled in the school. That same year 21 children were baptized.
