STILL NO RESIDENT PASTOR![]() REV. KARL PONITZ June 1890-April 1892 Sterling continued to depend upon the part-time services of the Hopkins Pastor from 1886 through 1892. After the Rev. Carl Ponitz was installed there, he continued the work of Pastor Lussky from June, 1890 through April, 1892. The report for 1891 indicates that the communicant membership rose to a new high of 127. The report for the following year combines Lyndon and Sterling, so nothing definite can be stated about membership at the time Pastor Ponitz followed a call to Genoa and Sycamore. |
