50TH ANNIVERSARY AND PARISH HALL 1925

Interior of church in 1952
INTERIOR OF CHURCH IN 1952

The interior of the church was redecorated in time for the anniversary celebration the second Sunday in June. The congregation had the pleasure of welcoming as guest speaker the founding pastor, the Rev. Fr. Lussky, who conducted the morning service, and the Rev. Louis Gresens, who addressed his former charge at the afternoon English service.

In March of the 50th Anniversary year a committee chosen to "investigate means of getting more room for the Sunday School" recommended the building of a new school at the cost of between 7 and 8 thousand dollars. On May 3rd the members "voted to build a new school, there being 36 votes cast for the building and 7 opposed." The congregation at that time had a membership of 292 communicants, 435 souls, 95 voting members, 82 in Sunday School.
