Son of Man![]() Faith in the SON OF MAN is symbolized by the shield of faith (Eph. 6:16) dominated by a large cross studded with five Jewels (representing the Five Wounds of Christ) and the Messianic Rose. Above the Shield are the five-pointed Star of Jacob (the symbol for His Epiphany or appearance as the Messiah, Numbers 24,17 and Rev. 22,16) and the Alpha-Omega surrounded by a circle (identifying Jesus as the second person of the Trinity). On the shield are the Fleur-de-lys (representing His Human Nature) and the Chalice and Host (representing His abiding presence in our midst). The I H S on the Host refers to Jesus Christ. … [T]he Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. (Mark 2:10, NIV). He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24, ESV). I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. (Numbers 24:17, NIV). I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. (Revelation 22:16, NKJV). |
