I H C![]() The window over the east entrance is visible only from the outside because the organ chambers and console are best located in the balcony. The design and dimensions of this window are exactly the same as the chancel window. However, it is done in Cathedral glass instead of stained glass. The emphasis has been laid on design, rather than on a picture, through the unique use of varied widths of lead, in which the glass is set. The I H C in the center panel is the ancient Christian abbreviation for the Greek word meaning Jesus. The Messiah's identification here is extremely significant in relationship to the stone symbols for the means of grace, installed immediately below.
