God the Father![]() GOD THE FATHER is represented by the creating and preserving Hand of God emerging from a mass of bright clouds. During the first 8 or 9 centuries after Christ this was the universally accepted symbol of Our Father. The circle around God's hand represents eternity and the three rays outside that circle the Trinity. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 145:15,16, NIV). Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-30, NKJV). Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? (Matthew 6:25, ESV). |
